The hotel is beautiful, very modern and clean. The amenities were great, and the room very clean and quite. I had asked for an extra bed for 2 nights and they were very accommodating, did not charge us extra for this. Staff is available 24 hours a day and everyone speaks enough English to get by.

We spent 6 days in Le General hotel and liked it very much. Location near two metro stations (...) is very convenient. Moreover, bus routes on the Republique square can be used to go to the center (Opera etc) and train stations (Gare de Lyon and others). Hotel is very clean, room service is really good. Good breakfasts in a small but nice bar. In evenings it's nice to seat near the lobby with nice smell of aromatic candles.

We were recommended by a friend to stay at Le General Hotel and were not disappointed. The hotel is located just a few metro stops from Gare du Nord, the hotel being only a short walk from La Republique metro station. This was a great location for reaching any area of Paris, including all the major tourist attractions by metro... Our room was rather small but well equiped with a flat screen TV, and had a fantastic, typically Parisian view. The bathroom was modern, spacious and stylish. The bar was our favourite part of the hotel, decorated in shades of funky pink.
